There’s no specific formula on how to properly manage your money.
But hey, you’ll need all the help you can get! So here’s a list of some things that you could possibly use in order to make the daunting task of facing your finances more bearable:
- App, App, and Away!
Most people today – if not all – are constantly glued to their phones. But that doesn’t have to be a bad thing completely! Why not utilize it by installing useful apps that can help you with your finances? There are lots of choices to choose from and all you have to do is find something that can help you out with what you need!
- Penny for your Thoughts (or Savings!)
A little known fact on why your cash easily disappears is because of your tiny expenditures in the hopes of lessening the coins in your purse. Think about it. How many unimportant things have you bought just because you don’t want heavy loose change? A perfect remedy to this is a classic coin bank wherein you can place all your pennies at the end of every day instead of spending them on random things you don’t even need. Surprise savings!
- The Buddy Language
It may seem corny but having a savings buddy can really do wonders! Whenever you’re feeling a splurge impulse coming, your friend can serve as the human form of your conscience to hold you back – as long as you do the same for them!
- Deal or No Deal? More Like Bills or No Bill!
The logic is easy: you can’t spend something you don’t have. So stock up on cash when going out and keep in mind to only use what’s in your wallet. Either you use your bills or you don’t cashout your bill at all. This means no swiping those little plastic cards, either! In fact, if you can go the extra mile, leave your credit cards at home to avoid the temptation.
- Last but not the List (Well, it’s Really the List)
It’s easy to get overwhelmed when going shopping or even picking up groceries when you go unprepared. A neat trick is to list down the things that you need to buy – and to stick with it. This way, you wouldn’t “accidentally” purchase ten bags of chips and five bottles of soda during your supermarket run when all you needed to get was a carton of eggs.
Consider your financial life = hacked! You’re welcome.
